I posted last week a new Quibids.com coupon code worth 10 free bids. I wanted to update all of my readers that might not have seen my previous post for the new 2011 Quibids coupon code. The code is: WINTODAY.

There are some rules attached to this coupon code. 

1.) The code can only be used during registration

2.) The code can only be used when purchasing a bid package of 100 bids

Quibids has not yet given an expiration date for their new promotion code: WINTODAY. However, this coupon will most likely only be available for a limited time.

Wavee Site is Down - Customers Conserned Wavee is a Scam

The Wavee site is down due to "technical issues".  If you visit Wavee.com you will see the below message to their customers:

Wavee Customers,

Unfortunately, Wavee is currently unavailable due to technical difficulties. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to restore service.

We are continuing to ship normally during this disruption. If you have additional shipping questions, you may contact us here. We will post any information regarding the outage here on the website as it becomes known. We appreciate your patience.

Personally, I have seen over 20 penny auctions sites close their doors due to "technical issues," claiming that they will open soon, but these sites never return. The Wavee team states that they will be shipping won products. However, there are numerous customers reporting that they are not receiving the products that they won on this penny auction site. This is just too bad. 

I frankly don't believe that Wavee's site is down due to computer issues. I think it is because they had 442 complaints filed in the recent 3 years with the Better Business Bureau. The Better Business Bureau is warning customers and potential customers to not play and shop on Wavee.com. Better Business Bureau complains are from numerous states including: New Jersey, Texas, Oregon, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Florida, California and Hawaii. 


The reasons for customer complaints varies but the most common complaint involves technical issues. Wavee's penny auction site will shut down while people are bidding on an auction. When the site crashes, the winning customer does not receive the product they were bidding on and also loses bids. 


There has also been occurrences where customers have had unauthorized charges on their credit cards. Testimonials against Wavee including an story about unautthorized credit card use can be found on SiteJabber. Most customers on SiteJabber believe that Wavee is a big scam. 


The Better Business Bureau warns customers to read a website's terms and conditions before participating and giving money to the site. Also, review the Better Business Bureau's rating of the site. In this case, the Better Business Bureau rated Wavee and "F". A rating of an F is the worst score any company can have. There are penny auction sites that have good ratings. So what's next for Wavee? Will Wavee have a lawsuit just like the Quibids Lawsuit? 

TrendyPenny Out of Business

I hate to see another penny auction site go, but it appears as if TrendyPenny.com is out of business. TrendyPenny was a designer goods and fashion penny auction site that just disappeared. Their site is still up and running but there are no auctions listed and their customer support is not replying to customer emails. I have also heard reports of customers not receiving items that they won in March and April. I will now add TrendyPenny to my list of Closed Penny Auction Sites

Fezaz is a Penny Auction Scam

I love penny auctions and I support several penny auction sites. I don't like to say that penny auctions are scams. Most penny auction sites and their owners are honest and good people. However, I do from time to time run across dishonest penny auction sites that don't send their products, use bots, sell rip-off merchandise and so on. I hate to say it, but Fezaz fits in the scam category.

The owner contacted me 3 months ago asking to advertise on my blog. We worked out an agreement and he said that he mailed me a check. After 3 weeks of not receiving the check, I emailed him again and he said he just sent another one and he sent another months payment with it. After waiting an additional 3 weeks and receiving neither check, I sent him multiple emails inquiring about my payment. I have not received a reply in 5 weeks.

My thoughts are this: If Fezaz is so cheap and dishonest to people that they have made a business agreement with, they must also be dishonest to their customers. I recommend not shopping on Fezaz or shopping great CAUTION. The company lied to me and they easily could be lying to you. Penny auction sites such as Fezaz that are not legit, tend to go out of business very quickly. It doesn't take too long for customers to see that the site is dishonest. I recommend not purchasing bids from Fezaz as they could close their doors any day and run away with your money.
